The XYZ Public Library
Contract for Library Service for the City of Anytown

The XYZ Public Library of XYZ, Iowa, acting by its Board of Trustees and the City of Anytown, IA do hereby agree and contract as follows:

1. That the city of XYZ, Iowa has a free Public Library, organized under ordinance of the city of XYZ, Iowa, and supported financially by annual appropriation from the city.
2. That the city of Anytown does not have such a library.
3. That the XYZ Public Library will provide to the people of Anytown the same services provided to the people of XYZ under the same regulations.
4. That in consideration for these services, the city of Anytown shall levy a tax equal to nine dollars ($9.00) per capita on the total population within its corporate boundaries, which shall be paid to the XYZ Public Library for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2002. This levy shall increase one dollar ($1.00) per capita per year until one-half of the total county-wide per capita average is reached. Population count of college special quarters shall be deducted in computing per capita.
5. That the XYZ Public Library will not reduce the amount of support received through taxation because of receiving these monies, and that funds received from Anytown under this agreement shall be used for the purchase of materials, equipment and to provide for additional service.
6. That this agreement may be, by mutual agreement of all parties hereto, terminated on written notice given sixty days before the end of the fiscal year, and it is understood and agreed that the parties hereto shall each review this contract prior to the date of the annual tax levy by the City, and comply with the foregoing provisions of this agreement.
