Sending Records from Winnebago Spectrum to SILO

1. Start Winnebago Spectrum®

2. Click on materials and select export

3. Fill in Export Wizard
   • Export: Materials within a given range
     • If this is the first time submitting records to SILO, select All materials.
   • Format: USMARC
   • Index: Material number
   • Export range: Keep track of these numbers each time you submit records to SILO
   • Output file: Name your file according to the SILO rules and put it in a directory where you can find it later. Remember to change the file extension each time so that you don't overwrite an older file.
   • Click Export

4. Submit Records to SILO
   1. Point your browser to: http://ill.silo.lib.ia.us
   2. Fill in Locator code and password.
   3. Click on Login to ILL.
   4. Click on Upload MARC Data Files For Inclusion in Iowa Locator.
   5. Click on Submit Request.
   6. Click on Browse.
   7. Follow path to the location of file saved during the export
   8. Click on the appropriate export file (for the previous month).
   9. Click on Open.
