Google's Library Project -- “But, as we all know, we should be careful what we wish for. This particular project, I fear, opens up more problems than it solves. It will certainly fail to live up to its utopian promise. And it dangerously elevates Google's role and responsibility as the steward — with no accountability — of our information ecosystem. That's why I, an avowed open-source, open-access advocate, have serious reservations about it.”

ABOUT THE LSA:

If you are sending items to libraries within AEA-1 or to libraries in AEA-267, material needs to be delivered to Keystone AEA no later than Tuesday, December 13 to make delivery, otherwise items will not be delivered until delivery resumes.
AEA-1 will resume delivery on January 3, 2006.

Something to think about.
The average public [B size] librarian in Iowa runs a business with a circa $22,000 budget and capital assets of circa $3,000,000.00. Compare that to other business in your community. Take that same phrase and substitute your libraries figures.
