Next Meeting Date, Time and Location March 14, 2005 2:00 p.m.,
Hawkins Memorial Library – La Porte City
Two positions on each LSA board expire June 30, 2005 - public library
employee and at-large. The person filling the public library
employee position is elected by public library directors; the at-large
position is a Commission appointment.
Anyone interested in running for election or being considered for
appointment will need to complete a Nomination Form. If they
already have a form on file here at the State Library, please ask
them to complete a new form so that our information is current.

March 31, 2005 - Nomination Forms must be received at State Library
prepare ballots
April 15, 2005 - Mail ballots to public library directors in each
LSA
May 2, 2005 - Completed ballots must be received at State Library
May, 2005 - Count ballots; prepare recommendations for Commission
appointments (must consider gender and political party balance)
June 6, 2005 - Commission certifies elections and appoints at-large
board members
