While working on Accredation/Standards document - Since I am not on iowalib I miss the updates from the old Friday Notes, I used it (Friday Notes) to keep up to date. re Standards 10 & 17 et. al.

Order Summer Reading Promo Video Today:  Here’s late-breaking news that you’ll need to act on today.  The cooperative that produces the summer reading themes and manuals has also produced a promotional videotape to help advertise this summer’s theme: “Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds.”  This VHS tape would be a great way to enhance your school visits—or simply to show in-house at any occasion like spring storytimes or during National Library Week.  (It’s possible that your local cable station would play the video too, but check with the cable station to see if they can use the VHS format…) 

 This promo video will be shipped to your library free of charge.  You’ll need to email Karen Day at North Central LSA office in Mason City to request a copy for your library—but she needs to hear from you today!  Here’s Karen’s phone and email:
