New Friday Notes: notes for next week
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
This message is a final reminder to apply for one of 2,000 copies
of the We the People Bookshelf on Becoming American. **With only
a week left before the application deadline of January 17th, we
[[ALA] are still seeking nearly 1,000 additional applicants.** If
you've already applied, THANK YOU!
The application process is easy: fill out the online application
and describe how you will introduce this collection of 15 classic
books on the theme of Becoming American to your community. Public
and school libraries are eligible to apply, and multiple locations
in the same community can apply for and receive a Bookshelf.
For tips on applying on behalf of multiple locations, visit http://www.wethepeople.gov/bookshelf/becomingamerican-system.html.
Please take advantage of this excellent opportunity to receive
free books, posters, bookmarks and programming materials for your
library. The online application should not take more than 45 minutes
to complete. For full details and a link to the online application,
visit www.ala.org/wethepeople.
