Kendall Young Library — Webster City

The beauty and usefulness of the Kendall Young Library should be maintained in the manner that was described in the will. Since the library is now on the National Register of Historic Places, every effort will be made to save the original character of the building.

  1. We must continue effort" toward a long range plan for remodeling the library to provide handicapped access and more space for new equipment and additional resources.
  2. Because the present space is inadequate, new ways must be found to conserve space and still serve the public adequately.
  3. It is essential that the library facility convey a pleasing atmosphere to its users. Interior walls should be painted on a regular basis so that rooms will be bright and cheerful.
