Prescott Public Library
Pertaining to Relationship Between Prescott Public Library and Adams County Genealogical Society
- All Genealogical Society books are to be checked out to the
public by the Librarian. Unreturned books are to be the
Society's responsibility. Any lost books will be the Society's
responsibility.
- Reference service to the genealogical collection will be
provided by the Librarian.
- All cataloging and processing of the Genealogical Society's
own materials will be done by the Society.
- Any information to be copied for the Genealogical Society
will be copied on the copy machine in City Hall by the Librarian
or City Clerk. Copies are to be paid for by the Society at the
special rate established by the City Council. Any additional
tasks (folding, stapling, stamping, etc.) are to be performed by
the Society.
- The Society may request the purchase of genealogical
materials to the Library Board. These requests will be accepted
or denied by the Board in conjunction with the Librarian. Books
purchased for the Society by the Library will be owned by the
Library and will remain under its control. Any books purchased
by the Society will remain in the Society's ownership.
- Postage for genealogical materials ordered through the
Interlibrary Loan system is to be paid for by the individual
requesting the material.
